Workspaces

A Workspace serves as the user interface for working with ViVE's  Process Intelligence and Business Intelligence capabilities.

Each Workspace comprises three sections:

  • Process Maps

  • Dashboards

  • Reports

Process Maps, Dashboards, and Reports created with different data connections can be grouped and hosted within specific workspaces. A Workspace acts as a canvas to hold these.

The creation and features of Process Maps, Dashboards, and Reports are described in separate sections.

Once created, the Workspace is published and can be accessed through the main menu of ViVE’s Interface.

This feature helps:

  • Create new Workspaces

  • List all the created and published Workspaces, allowing options to Edit or Delete selected Workspaces

Click the ‘Security Admin’ option of the ‘ViVE Admin - Workspaces and Users’ menu in ViVE’s main interface to display the following screen:

Note:

If a user has access to the Security Admin module along with Workspace creation access, default roles will be automatically generated when a new workspace is created. The Process Admin role is assigned by default through role mapping. The user can either continue using this role or change it if needed. However, the user does not have permission to assign role privileges for the workspace. An admin must grant access to the Role Privileges page for the newly created workspace, as security admin capabilities are only available to users with the Process Admin role.

Admins have full control over the Security Admin module, allowing them to manage workspaces, roles, users, and role mappings. They can also assign privileges for published content creation across all available features and workspaces. In contrast, Process Admin users can manage only the workspaces to which they have been granted access by the admin.
