Configuration settings can be made here for BPM, Process Recommendations and costing.

Configuring BPM

Click the ‘BPM’ tab in the Process Configurations window to list the options available for configuring BPM.

All the events for the BPM will be listed and there will be three options displayed for each of the events: ‘is noise’, ‘mandatory in BPM’ and ‘BPM end stage’.

Choose the ‘is noise’ option against any of the events to mark the particular event as noise. By default, when the BPM is displayed, all the events are included. When the ‘noise cancelation’ option is chosen, all the events which are marked as ‘is noise’ will not be displayed in the process.

Choose the ‘Mandatory BPM’ option against any of the events to make the chosen event mandatory in the process flow.

Choose the ‘BPM end stage’ option against any of the events to make the chosen event as the last event in the process.

After configuration, enable the Noise Cancellation option in the filters panel. The Consider Mandatory BPM option will also be shown—enable both options and click the Apply button to view the differences in the flow. These changes will only be visible when the noise cancellation option is enabled in the filters panel.

Recommendation Settings

'Process Recommendations' is one of the Process Intelligence features of ViVE.

Process Recommendations are made here for optimization, compliance, opportunities for automation, etc.

Two of the important options, for which configuration can be set are: ‘Automation Opportunities’ and ‘SLA’.

Configuration settings for ‘Automation Opportunities’ and ‘SLA’ options can be made here, which will be reflected in the respective widgets in ‘Process Recommendations’.

Click on the ‘Recommendations Settings’ tab to display the following screen.

All the events in the process are listed here with three options listed for each of the events: ‘SLA’, ‘Automation’ and ‘Time Line Icons’

Set the SLA values in the fields provided for each of the events.

Choose between ‘Manual’ or ‘Automatic’ options listed for each of the events to specify whether the particular event is manual or automatic.

Icons can be chosen from a list for each of the events by clicking on the icon option for each of the events.

All the configurations that are set here will be taken as default values while analyzing the business processes using different Process Intelligence features of ViVE.

Note: Recommendation changes will not take effect immediately after configuration, as the data model must run for them to be reflected. Only icon changes will be reflected by default after configuration. These icon changes will appear in the Timeline Chart under the Events tab.

Cost configurations can be done for each of the Activities in the Process, in terms of

  • Cost time unit
