Global Filters
A filter refers to a feature or component that allows users to selectively control and view the data displayed in the Process Flow. It is a mechanism to filter or restrict the dataset based on specific criteria, such as time periods, categories, regions, or any other relevant Dimensions.
Filters empower users to focus on specific subsets of data, enabling them to gain insights and make more informed decisions. By selecting or adjusting filter settings, users can dynamically update the Process Flow to reflect their desired data subset, allowing for exploration and analysis from different perspectives.
Filters can be applied to the Process Flow, which will be automatically affected across the sections of the process. They can be applied from the existing list of parameters along with an option to add new parameters to the existing list.
Click the ‘Filters’ icon (' ') from the list of icons displayed on the top right of the main screen, to list the available filters.
Select any of the filters and click the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom of the screen to display the process with the applied Filter.
To Clear any particular applied Filter:
Select the parameter which is applied as a Filter and de-select the option.
Click the ‘Apply’ button to affect the changes.
Click the ‘Clear’ button to clear all selected filters.
A list of already applied filters can also be viewed from one of the options available.
To remove all applied filters, click the cancellation icon ( ‘X' ) on the 'Filters’ button.
Noise Cancellation
This is used to eliminate noise in our flow. To do this, we need to configure the activities we want to exclude from the process. You can do this using the process config screen, which is available under the Settings option in the main interface of the process map, located in the top-right corner.
Using the screen shown below, under the BPM tab, you can configure the activities you want to eliminate from the process. Additionally, users can set mandatory activities in the process, as well as define the end stage of the process.
After configuration, enable the Noise Cancellation option. The Consider Mandatory BPM option will also be shown—enable both options and click the Apply button to view the differences in the flow. These changes will only be visible when this option is enabled.
Filter Preferences
In the published process map view mode, users have the option to save filters based on their preferences, as shown below. By using the Preference button, users can save their preferred filter values. Once saved, the next time they load the process map, it will automatically apply the saved preference filters.
If you want to restore the default admin-saved filter values, click on the refresh icon located beside the filters section at the top, as shown in the screenshot below.
