Process Recommendations
Process Recommendations will give an overview of the entire process, based on various factors, which includes SLA, Activity Analysis (Bottom Quartile), Rework, Productivity and Automation Opportunities.
Click on ‘Process Recommendations’ of the ‘Analytics’ menu in the ViVE’s main interface to display the following screen.
The Process recommendations are:
Process Variant Analysis
Quartile Analysis
Rework Analysis
SLA Impacts
Productivity Analysis
Automation Opportunities
All the features are displayed as widgets on the screen.
Process Variant Analysis
‘Process Variant Analysis’ helps in understanding the different process variants that exist within an organization, their frequency of occurrence, and their impact on process performance.
This widget shows the total number of variations that the processes flow through and the percentage that each of the variations contributes.
Hover on any of the Variations to view the metrics of the Variation.
By identifying and analyzing Process Variants, insights can be gained into process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, leading to enhanced process optimization and better decision-making.
Quartile Analysis
Quartile Analysis involves the examination and characterization of process performance metrics based on Quartiles. Quartile Analysis is used to understand the distribution and variation of process metrics across different segments of a process.
This widget shows the quartile comparison between ‘Bottom Quartile’ Vs ‘Avg.’ Vs ‘Excluding Bottom Quartile’, where the bars represent number of orders and Avg. time.
Quartile Analysis helps to assess the process performance in relation to different Quartiles, allowing for a deeper understanding of process behavior, efficiency, and potential sources of variation. By focusing on Quartiles, processes can be pinpointed, where performance is significantly different from the overall average, helping prioritize improvement efforts and allocate resources effectively.
Hover on the ‘ ' icon on the top right of the 'Quartile Analysis’ widget to view the details.
Rework Analysis
Rework refers to the need to repeat or redo certain Steps or Activities within a Process due to errors, omissions, or inefficiencies. It often occurs when there is a deviation from the expected or desired outcome.
Rework Analysis refers to the examination and analysis of rework instances within a Business Process.
This widget shows the ‘total number of rework orders’, ‘total cost of rework orders’ and ‘total time of rework orders’, along with rework activities, where the bars show the rework days.
Hover over each bar to list the activity name and the rework stats.
By analyzing Rework instances, Process Analysts can determine the factors contributing to rework, such as incorrect inputs, unclear instructions, lack of resources, or flawed process design.
The insights gained from rework analysis help identify and address process inefficiencies, reduce errors and rework, optimize process flow, and enhance overall process performance.
SLA Impacts
SLA impacts refer to the analysis and assessment of the compliance of process activities with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). SLAs are contractual agreements between service providers and customers that define specific performance metrics, quality standards, and targets that should be met.
SLA impacts analysis involves evaluating how well a process adheres to the predefined SLAs. It focuses on measuring and quantifying the deviations from SLA targets, understanding the causes of non-compliance, and assessing the impact on process performance.
This widget shows the activities which do not meet the SLA. The bars show the Avg. process time and the line shows the SLA.
By analyzing SLA impacts, areas of the process that are not meeting the agreed-upon SLAs can be identified. Activities, Process steps, or specific resources that are causing delays, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies can be pinpointed. This analysis helps organizations understand the extent to which SLA non-compliance affects process performance, customer satisfaction, and overall business outcomes.
Hover on any of the bars to display the metrics.
Insights gained from SLA impacts analysis enable organizations to take corrective actions to improve process efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and enhance SLA compliance. It allows them to align their processes with the agreed-upon performance targets and ensure that the service delivered to customers meets the defined quality standards.
Productivity Analysis
Productivity Analysis involves the evaluation and measurement of the efficiency and effectiveness of a Business Process.
The analysis involves various metrics and indicators such as throughput, cycle time, waiting time, resource utilization, and activity frequency. These metrics help identify areas where productivity is low, where there are delays or inefficiencies, and where resources may be underutilized or overloaded.
This widget shows the user productivity, where the X - axis shows the number of orders, Y - axis shows Avg. elapsed time.
Click ' ' icon at the top right of the widget to see a list of filters that can be applied
Select one of the values in the list and click the ‘Apply’ button to generate the graph with the applied filter.
Hover on any of the bubbles to view its stats.
Productivity Analysis enables organizations to measure the effectiveness of process improvements, monitor performance over time, and identify trends or patterns that may impact productivity. It serves as a basis for continuous process improvement efforts and supports informed decision-making for achieving operational excellence.
Automation Opportunities
Automation refers to the identification and assessment of tasks or activities within a business process that can be automated.
By examining process event logs, repetitive or rule-based tasks that are suitable for automation can be identified.
This widget shows the activities, where the X - axis shows the ‘Number of Orders’, the Y - axis shows ‘Process Elapsed Time’ and the size of the bubble shows the ‘Process Cost’.
Hover on any of the bubbles to view its stats.
Identifying Automation Opportunities allows organizations to streamline their processes, increase operational efficiency, and allocate resources more effectively. It also helps organizations reduce costs, improve quality and accuracy, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Note:
Every widget has drill-down capability to analyze a detailed view of the process in the Overview tab.
